Search Panel.
Finding a Property
In our latest release, we have moved the search panel from the top half of the page to a panel on the left to take advantage of the current wider monitor designs most users have these days.
To get started, the first step is to select a county. With this release, you can now select more than 1 county. If you know the municipality, go ahead and select this as it will narrow the search results making it easier to identify your target. Again with this release, you can now select more then 1 municipality.
Searching by Block or Lot is the most direct way to find a property, toggling Exact Search will determine if the entered block and lot match exactly or starts with.
Owner names can be recorded in differing formats, first name followed by last name etc. We recommend just entering the last name and if you don't see the property you are looking for in the results, try toggling the Contains search switch for more results.
Similarly with addresses, sometimes it is better to start with less, such as just the street name and narrow the results by adding the street number etc in the next search.
Expanding the Sales Search Options panel provides the ability to search for any recorded deeds within your desired date range.

Entering just a From Date will return all records with a value greater than this date.

You can also query by sales price range or deed book / page.
NJTaxMaps.com provides the ability to search by property class, improved status etc. Simply entering a value in these search fields will include your criteria in the search results.
Additionally, you can expand the Range Search Options panels to find properties within a certain size, value or age.
Property Details.
Selected Property Information
Selecting a property in the search results grid will load the Property Details page. This page shows you the recorded assessment information, sales history and the tax & parcel maps.
The recorded assessment information is displayed in this panel. You can see here the current owner, the property address and the owners mailing address. Also available here is the property tax information and characteristics.
In the title bar of this panel is also the option to print a detailed report which includes the property data as well as both the tax map and the street map.
The recorded deeds for this property are displayed here listing the deed date, book and page. The sales price and Buyer / Seller information is also displayed where available. This information is updated monthly.

Below the map is an options list of all maps in the current municipality. Sometimes you need to view a different map, simply select it from this list and click view. Selecting load here will load the map into the current viewer which can then be included in printed reports.
The street map loads the current property displayed on a street map. The map can be changed to Satellite Imagery or another type by selecting from the layers list.
Opening the Street Map Viewer provides the ability to "walk the map". Basically, the selected property is displayed alongside any neighbors, clicking on the neighbors symbols will load the property information in the details panel on the left. Walking the map.
If the map display is changed, the neighbors being displayed can be refreshed / reloaded by clicking the reload button. By default max 200 neighbors are displayed. This can be increased by selecting from the available list, however this can affect the speed the map loads.
If the selected property owner has any additional properties in the same county, these will be displayed in the Same Owner list. This list matches on the owners name and the property mailing address.
A second list is displayed on the list of neighboring properties within a specified radius in feet, default is 200. This list can be downloaded in csv format.

Account Details.
Account, Subscriptions & Other Information
Your account details page has been redesigned with this release to provide a cleaner management page. Access your subscriptions or billing history here. This is available in the upper right corner of the screen in a drop down menu when you move your mouse over the account icon.
On your account details page you can manage your profile details such as company information, phone or contact email.
You can change your password or login email address as well as update your subscriptions.
In the manage subscriptions page you can see what subscriptions you currently have and when they expire. You can also set your default county which is the county pre loaded when you sign into the system.
Clicking the add subscriptions button will open a page where you can add packages or single counties from our available coverage. Any existing subscriptions will have remaining time added to the new subscription.
For some users it is still preferable to use the NJTaxMaps.com legacy system (release 3). A link to this system which provides access to the same data and maps, but is limited in features and coverage, is available in the account menu .
We do ask our users to please let us know why they choose to use this platform to ensure we have not missed a feature you like or if it is simply a hardware issue that requires you to use a smaller display.
